Veronica (she/her) is one of our Associate Clinicians and the designated child & family therapist. She is a registered social worker, psychotherapist in good standing with the OCSWSSW (reg# 836618). She is also a registered Circle of Security® Parenting™ (COSP™) facilitator with Circle of Security International and one of our SPACE treatment providers.
2024 Fee Structure: $175 per hour for individual therapy (including child and parent sessions) and $205 per hour for family therapy.
Veronica is also an approved provider for the Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) program. Our clinic offers direct billing for eligible clients enrolled in the NIHB program.
Specialization & Clinical Focus:
- Child and youth mental health such as anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self-harm, neurodivergence, identity related challenges, emotional regulation issues, and disordered eating, etc.
- Parent-child interaction challenges, attachment-focused parenting interventions (COSP™), and parent-based treatment services for childhood anxiety (SPACE treatment).
- Developmental trauma informed care for children and youth who are adopted or in foster care and their families who are self referred or referred by agencies in the community such as CAS.
- Culturally responsive care for First Nations and Inuit clients (primarily children and youth) accessing counselling services through the NIHB program.
- Young adults or post-secondary students struggling to cope with life transition issues, peer or collegial relationships, and other mental health challenges.
- Trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy.
Professional Experience:
Veronica is an experienced child & family therapist. Throughout her career, she focused on working with children, adolescents, and families. She has worked in a variety of clinical practice settings such as a rehabilitation team, post-secondary counselling (university), immigration and refugee youth counselling, and children’s mental health agency. Veronica also has experiences supporting children and families in the child welfare system.
Education & Training:
Veronica holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree and Bachelor of Arts in Child Studies from Carleton University. She has also received the following post-graduate training, but not limited to:
- Emotion focused family therapy (EFFT)
- Narrative therapy
- Cognitive behavior therapy (unified protocol)
- Trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy (TF-CBT)
- Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS)
- Disordered eating support and interventions
- Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) treatment
- Circle of Security® Parenting™ (COSP™)

Veronica maintains an active professional membership with the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) and Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW).
Clinical Supervision:
Veronica is currently receiving an ongoing clinical supervision from Bruno Jung-Millen, MSW, RSW (OCSWSSW, reg# 837354) and participates in peer group consultations for professional development.
