Her expertise extends to harm reduction and sexual health, where she contributed to programs aimed at improving wellness and safety, and to women’s healthcare, where she addressed a wide range of health and emotional needs.
Through these varied experiences, Tara has honed a collaborative approach to psychotherapy. She specializes in addressing anxiety and sadness related to life transitions, drawing on her deep understanding of the multifaceted impacts these changes can have. Her broad background equips her to offer empathetic and effective support tailored to each client’s unique situation.
Education & Training:
Tara holds both a Master of Social Work (MSW) and a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Lakehead University, providing her with a strong foundation in clinical practice and social work. Her commitment to ongoing professional development is reflected in her completion of a diverse range of advanced training courses and programs.
These include specialized training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for grief and loss, Narrative Therapy, Brainspotting, Addiction Care and Treatment, and Midwifery Education.
