Renata (She/They) is one of our Associate Clinicians and an individual therapist. She is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (reg# 16139) and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (member# 11244092). Renata uses a gentle and non-judgmental approach, drawing on psychodynamic, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive principles, with the goal of fostering a safe space for their clients. Renata also provides sessions in Spanish upon request.
2024 Fee Structure:
$140 per hour for individual therapy. HST is not applicable for clinical services provided by Registered Psychotherapists as of June 20, 2024. Sliding scale available at $100 per hour for individual therapy.

- Supporting neurodivergent clients, particularly those on the autism spectrum (helping with masking/unmasking, life transitions, and coping mechanisms).
- 2SLGBTQIA+ issues (exploring identity, sexuality, and providing affirming care).
- Coping with attachment difficulties using trauma-informed and psychodynamic techniques.
- Culturally sensitive therapy, offering sessions in Spanish.
- Supporting BIPOC mental health, trauma, and social justice-informed care.
- Supporting clients coping with anxiety and depression.
- Exploring and processing clients’ past experiences (childhood, development, relationships).
- Pre- and postnatal support, and parenting experiences.
- Supporting older adults with life transitions, stress, and processing the past.
Professional Experience:
Renata has clinical experience working primarily with adults, 2SLGBTQIA+ clients, immigrants, older adults, BIPOC individuals, and neurodivergent clients. She also brings valuable experience from community-based and frontline work, having supported individuals in crisis call centers as well as in educational settings. In these roles, Renata has worked closely with students who have learning and cognitive disabilities, providing them with tailored support to navigate challenges related to their mental health, academic performance, and personal development.
Education & Training:
Renata holds a Master of Arts (MA) with Merit in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) with Honours, specializing in Psychology and a Minor in Criminology. They have also completed the following courses and programs:
- Workshops at Goldsmiths, University of London: working with culture/race, women, men, teenagers, seniors, different sexualities and identities, ethical guidelines, addiction, personality disorders, attachment, loss, depression, and anxiety.
- Suicide prevention course (LivingWorks Start), including learning TASC steps.
- Certified by CTRI in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
Clinical Supervision:
Renata is currently receiving ongoing clinical supervision from Rene Langen (CRPO, reg# 008497) and also participates in group consultations within our team.
