Louriecar (she/her) is one of our Associate Clinicians and primarily provides clinical services to adult individuals. She is a Registered Psychotherapist in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO, reg# 12613).
Louriecar takes a client-centered approach, tailoring each session to the unique needs of the individuals she works with. She integrates cognitive-behavioral, attachment-focused, and mindfulness-based approaches to support clients in navigating challenges, fostering self-awareness, and working toward meaningful personal growth. Her warm and collaborative style creates a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their experiences.
Outside of work, Louriecar enjoys the simple joys of knitting cozy socks and relaxing with her beloved Shiba Inu.
2025 Fee Information:
$150 per hour for individual therapy. A sliding scale fee option may be available at any given time. Taxes do not apply to clinical services provided by RPs.

Professional Experience:
Louriecar brings a deep and diverse wealth of frontline experience to our clinic, having worked in high-impact settings such as victim services and a rape crisis center. Her work in these environments has equipped her with a profound understanding of the emotional, psychological, and practical challenges faced by individuals dealing with trauma, crisis, and complex emotional experiences. Louriecar has supported countless individuals in navigating difficult circumstances, including those who have experienced violence, loss, or severe emotional distress. This hands-on, trauma-informed experience allows her to provide a unique, empathetic approach to her therapy practice.
With a strong foundation in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Louriecar applies evidence-based therapeutic interventions that empower clients to address and overcome their challenges. Her clinical skills extend beyond traditional CBT, incorporating attachment theory and mindfulness-based approaches to address a wide range of issues, such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem struggles, and trauma-related difficulties. By integrating these approaches, she tailors her sessions to meet the specific needs of each individual, ensuring that clients receive the most effective care possible.
Louriecar’s clinical approach also prioritizes a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where clients can feel safe and understood. She is deeply committed to helping clients explore and make sense of their experiences, work through emotional pain, and build healthier coping strategies. Furthermore, Louriecar offers language-specific psychotherapy sessions in Tagalog, allowing clients to engage in therapy in their native language for added comfort and clarity. Her diverse skill set, compassionate nature, and extensive frontline experience make Louriecar a trusted and capable therapist, able to guide clients through even the most difficult challenges toward healing and self-empowerment.
Education & Training:
Louriecar holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Carleton University. In addition to her formal education, she has completed various post-graduate training programs, including Narrative Therapy, Attachment-Focused Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and the National Adoption Competency Mental Health Training. These programs have helped her develop a well-rounded clinical approach that is both empathetic and evidence-based.
Louriecar’s training also includes Polyvagal Theory and practice, which allows her to support clients in managing trauma responses and nervous system regulation. With her diverse educational background and clinical expertise, she is able to offer personalized therapy that addresses a wide range of mental health challenges while fostering healing and growth.
Clinical Supervision:
Louriecar is currently receiving an ongoing clinical supervision from MacGyver Kou, MSC, RP (CRPO, reg# 005445) and participates in peer group consultations for professional development.
