Fee Information:
Individual therapy is billed at $160 per hour. Taxes do not apply to clinical services provided by a Registered Social Worker (RSW). Our clinic offers direct billing with most insurance companies. Many insurance providers cover clinical services offered by Registered Social Workers (RSWs); however, coverage and reimbursement amounts may vary. We recommend confirming your eligibility and benefit details directly with your insurance provider.

Liam MacDonald brings a rich background in clinical social work, shaped by diverse roles supporting individuals through grief, life transitions, and mental health challenges.
Liam currently works as a Family Counsellor at Hospice Care Ottawa, where he provides therapeutic support to individuals, families, and caregivers coping with loss and anticipatory grief. In this role, he conducts clinical intakes and assessments, facilitates caregiver and grief support groups, and supports families through complex emotional and relational transitions during end‑of‑life and bereavement.
Previously, Liam served as the Bereavement Services Coordinator at Hospice Care Ottawa. In that role, he provided direct clinical support while also overseeing a team of more than 20 grief and bereavement volunteers, ensuring compassionate and consistent care across three hospice locations. He was responsible for program coordination, volunteer supervision, and the development of individualized care plans.
Prior to his work at the hospice, Liam was a Relief Counsellor at Vista Centre Brain Injury Services, where he facilitated support groups focused on anger management and life adjustment for individuals living with acquired brain injuries. His work included case management, referrals to community resources, and one‑on‑one emotional support to help clients navigate complex psychosocial challenges.

- ADHD Support (CBT‑Based Interventions): Providing structured, skills‑based support for adults and youth with ADHD using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) strategies. Liam works with clients to improve organization, time management, emotional regulation, and task initiation, while addressing self‑criticism, overwhelm, and executive functioning challenges.
- Grief, Loss, and Bereavement: Supporting clients as they navigate the emotional landscape following the death of a loved one, including anticipatory grief and complicated grief. Liam helps individuals process their experiences, find meaning, and move forward at their own pace.
- Caregiver Stress and Burnout: Providing therapeutic support to those caring for family members with chronic or terminal illnesses. Liam helps caregivers manage emotional exhaustion, guilt, and identity shifts, while building coping strategies and self-compassion.

- Psychosexual Treatment: Liam provides psychosexual therapy under the direct supervision of sex therapist Bruno Jung-Millen, MSW, RSW. His clinical focus is primarily on supporting male-identifying clients with a range of psychosexual concerns, including challenges related to arousal, desire, performance anxiety, sexual shame, erectile dysfunction, and relational intimacy.

Liam’s training is grounded in master’s‑level clinical social work, with an emphasis on ethical, client‑centred, and structurally informed practice.
