Specializations & Clinical Focus:
-
Trauma Therapy: Lee is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an evidence-based approach that uses eye movements and internal imagery to help the brain process and heal from distressing memories and experiences. ART often produces significant relief within just a few sessions and is effective in addressing trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, self-esteem concerns, addiction, and more.
-
Mind-Body and Somatic Therapy: Lee integrates mind-body approaches to help clients reconnect with their bodies, regulate their nervous systems, and access deeper healing. Informed by polyvagal theory and somatic therapy, their work includes gentle practices like breath awareness, sensation tracking, and grounding to support emotional regulation and embodied change. This approach helps clients move beyond intellectual insight by releasing patterns held in the body and fostering a greater sense of wholeness, presence, and inner trust.
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): CBT is an evidence-based approach that helps identify unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviours that keep us stuck in cycles of distress and disconnection. CBT highlights the interconnectedness of our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, working on all three levels to help us transform our lives and feel more aligned and whole.
-
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT): DBT is a practical, skills-based approach that helps manage overwhelming emotions, improve relationships, and build a life that feels more balanced and meaningful. It combines acceptance and change, teaching tools like mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and effective communication.
-
Nonviolent Communication (NVC): NVC is a compassionate, structured approach to communication that helps people express themselves honestly while deeply listening to others. In therapy, NVC supports individuals and couples in identifying their needs, reducing reactivity, and engaging in difficult conversations with more clarity and care. It offers practical tools for building empathy, trust, and mutual understanding.
-
Queer and Trans Populations: Lee has extensive experience working with and supporting queer and trans individuals. Whatever their therapy goals, Lee offers a welcoming and safe space for queer and trans people to be their authentic selves in every way.
