Bruno (he/him) is the founder of Intersections Therapy Collective and serves as the Clinical Director, overseeing operations and the quality of clinical services. He is a registered social worker and psychotherapist in good standing with the OCSWSSW (837354). Bruno also holds a position as an Adjunct Instructor at Renison University College (University of Waterloo). Aside from his supervisory and teaching roles, Bruno is first and foremost a couples and sex therapist. He is also an approved external clinician for the Canadian Armed Forces, where he does the majority of his work with military couples and individual trauma treatment.
Bruno is a professional member of several associations, including the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT) and the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). Bruno is also actively involved in research at the Kinsey Institute’s Traumatic Stress Research Consortium (KI-TSRC) at Indiana University and the Narrative Practice Research Network, a joint initiative of Dulwich Centre and the University of Melbourne.
Outside of the clinic, Bruno enjoys spending quality time with his children and family, both in Canada and abroad. He is passionate about learning, traveling, and embarking on new adventures!
Fee Information:
$200 per hour for individual therapy and $250 per hour for couples therapy. At any given time, there may be space for a sliding‑scale fee option. HST does not apply to clinical services provided by an RSW.

Professional Experience:
Bruno brings a wealth of experience from his extensive career in the public sector prior to founding Intersections Therapy Collective. His most recent public‑sector position was as a therapist in a university medical clinic, where he supported youth and young adults navigating mental health and academic challenges. In this role, Bruno worked closely with a multidisciplinary team (including physicians, psychiatrists, and RNs) to provide holistic, integrated care. He also facilitated several group therapy programs and delivered mental health workshops across the university.
Bruno’s diverse background includes adult mental health counselling, crisis intervention, private adoption practice, child protection (Children’s Aid Society), addictions and harm reduction, Indigenous social services (with a focus on family violence and community well‑being), child welfare policy research, and children’s mental health practice. He is also passionate about parent advocacy and has worked extensively in this area. In 2023, Bruno served as an advisory member of the 2SLGBTQ+ Provincial Roundtable at the Ontario Association of Children’s Aid Societies (OACAS).

- Military workshop titled “Establishing Healthy Relationships: Building Healthy Behaviors in the Early Stages of Dating and New Relationships” presented as part of the Healthy Relationships Campaign funded by Military Family Services (MFS) in Ottawa, ON, in 2025.

Education & Training:
Bruno earned his Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Carleton University, concentrating on direct intervention and clinical social work practice, which included independent studies on attachment‑focused therapy and developmental trauma. He also completed graduate coursework as an Ontario Visiting Graduate Student at the Faculty of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, ON.
In addition, Bruno holds a certificate in Intensive Sex Therapy Training from the University of Guelph. He has also completed a two‑year comprehensive training and supervision program in sex therapy through the Modern Sex Therapy Institute in West Palm Beach, FL. Bruno engages in ongoing military‑specific training courses and programs at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD.
