Adam (he/him) is one of our Associate Clinicians, specializing in individual therapy, including work with adolescents as young as 13 years old. As a registered social worker (RSW) and psychotherapist in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW, reg# 845778), Adam brings a wealth of experience to his practice.
With a deep commitment to community-focused, culturally-responsive care, Adam is particularly passionate about supporting marginalized and racialized youth. He tailors his approach to meet the unique needs of each individual, ensuring that adolescents feel heard, understood, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges. Adam offers therapy sessions fully in English, with the option of Arabic-language sessions upon request, ensuring clients have the opportunity to express themselves comfortably in their preferred language.

2025 Fee Structure:
The fee for individual therapy is $150 per hour. Please note that HST does not apply to clinical services provided by Registered Social Workers (RSWs).

- Treatment for anxiety, depression, OCD, and related mental health challenges using evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).
- Interventions for ADHD and associated cognitive, emotional, and behavioral difficulties.
- Addressing family conflicts and relationship issues in adolescence, with a focus on developmental trauma, attachment injuries, and emotional regulation.
- Collaboration with foster care and child welfare services (CAS), including support for youth transitioning from the system to independent living and advocacy for their rights and needs.
- Support for young adults and post-secondary students navigating life transitions, peer relationships, academic stress, and other mental health challenges.
- Addressing psychosexual concerns such as desire discrepancies, sexual anxieties, intimacy challenges, and improving sexual health and communication within relationships.
- Specialized therapy for LGBTQ+ individuals, exploring and affirming sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression in a safe and inclusive space.
- Culturally responsive therapy that includes language-specific sessions to ensure clients’ cultural backgrounds are respected and understood in the therapeutic process.
Professional Experience:
Adam has a wealth of experience working within community mental health, providing compassionate support to youth and adults facing a variety of challenges. With a strong background in social services, Adam is deeply committed to helping individuals overcome barriers to well-being and achieve meaningful personal growth. Most recently, he worked at the Youth Services Bureau (YSB), a leading agency dedicated to supporting youth facing mental health struggles, housing instability, and substance use issues. In this role, Adam was instrumental in offering tailored, trauma-informed interventions that empower young people to build resilience and navigate life’s complexities.
In addition to his work at YSB, Adam has also supported youth and young adults with cognitive disabilities and behavioral issues in group home settings. His experience in this capacity has deepened his understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals within these communities, allowing him to provide effective, individualized care. Whether addressing mental health concerns, providing guidance through life transitions, or supporting those coping with addiction or trauma, Adam takes a holistic, strengths-based approach to therapy.

Education & Training:
Adam earned his Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree from Carleton University, where he focused his studies on direct intervention and clinical social work practice. He also holds an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences degree from the University of Ottawa, majoring in ethics. In addition to his foundational education, Adam has pursued extensive post-graduate clinical training to deepen his therapeutic expertise.
He has received professional development in a range of evidence-based approaches, including Narrative Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), ADHD interventions, and Polyvagal Theory. Adam’s dedication to ongoing professional growth ensures he remains well-versed in the latest clinical practices and interventions, allowing him to offer the highest level of care to his clients. He is committed to continually enhancing his skills through additional training opportunities, reinforcing his ability to provide effective, client-centered therapy.
