Adam (he/him) is one of our Associate Clinicians, working with individuals, including adolescents as young as 13 years old. He is a registered social worker (RSW) and psychotherapist in good standing with the OCSWSSW (reg# 845778). Adam is an experienced, community-focused, and culturally-responsive practitioner who deeply cares about unhoused and displaced youth. He offers sessions fully in English or Arabic upon request from clients.
2024 Fee Structure:
$150 per hour for individual therapy. Please note that HST does not apply to clinical services provided by Registered Social Workers (RSWs).
Specialization & Clinical Focus:
- Anxiety treatment and other related mental health challenges using cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).
- Interventions for ADHD and related cognitive and behavioral issues.
- Family conflicts and relationship issues in adolescence, including developmental trauma and attachment injuries.
- Foster care and child welfare collaboration (CAS), focusing on transitioning from the system to independent living and advocacy work.
- Young adults or post-secondary students struggling to cope with life transition issues, peer or collegial relationships, and other mental health challenges.
- Psychosexual issues, such as desire discrepancies, focus on addressing differences in sexual desire within relationships, resolving sexual anxieties, and improving intimacy.
- LGBTQ+ issues, including sexuality, involve exploring and affirming sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression.
- Culturally responsive therapy, including offering language-specific sessions.
Professional Experience:
Adam has extensive experience working in various social service and community settings as a youth counselor. Most recently, he served at the Youth Services Bureau (YSB), a centralized agency that supports youth facing challenges with housing, mental health, and substance use issues. Additionally, Adam has worked in a group home setting, where he supported youth and young adults with cognitive disabilities and behavioral issues. His diverse background reflects his commitment to addressing a wide range of needs within the youth and adult population.
Education & Training:
Adam earned his Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree from Carleton University, tailoring his studies to direct intervention and clinical social work practice. Additionally, he holds an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences degree from the University of Ottawa, where he majored in ethics.
Adam has received professional development training in various therapeutic approaches, including Narrative Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), ADHD interventions, and Polyvagal Theory. He is committed to ongoing professional growth and actively participates in additional training opportunities to continually enhance his knowledge and skills as a clinician.

Adam maintains an active professional membership with the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) and Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW).
Clinical Supervision:
Adam is currently receiving an ongoing clinical supervision from Bruno Jung-Millen, MSW, RSW (OCSWSSW, reg# 837354) and participates in peer group consultations for professional development.
